Adam J. Engler

Adam joined the University of California San Diego in Bioengineering in 2008 and is currently an Associate Professor. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S.E. degree in Bioengineering and remained at Penn to work in the lab of Dennis Discher where he earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Adam then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Jean Schwarzbauer's group in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University. The lab's work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Human Frontiers Science Program, American Heart Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association, California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and Department of Defense.
